Databases are electronic archives of subscription-based resources that will help you find the most up-to-date scientific literature in your field, with a direct link to the full text.
- Access Medicine Resource from McGraw-Hill publisher that combines a large collection of referential texts for various sectors of medicine with a series of point-of-care tools and multimedia content
- Acland's Video Atlas of Human Anatomy Platform with over 300 commented videos. Tutorial attached
- BioOne Over 200 subscribed and open-access titles in the biological, ecological, and environmental sciences. (Select UPO in the list of institutions, and authenticate by entering your University credentials)
- European Pharmacopoeia on line. The European Pharmacopoeia is Europe's legal and scientific reference point for high-quality medicines, essential to the pharmaceutical industry. It is a collection of monographs, now accessible online, describing the quality standards for ingredients, dosage forms and methods of analysis for drugs. Contact the library to access the platform
- CCDC (Cambridge Crystallographic data centre) the most up-to-date crystal structure database
- JoVE. Journal of Visualized Experimentes Research & Education. Peer-reviewed digital resource, indexed in video format. It is implemented monthly with new videos and articles, which also include a protocol in textual format aimed at reproducibility in the laboratory. - Merck's Index online (Royal Society of Chemistry): the Merck Index is a comprehensive and easily searchable chemical biological database. It is considered the most authoritative source of information on chemicals, for the accuracy of structures, drugs and biological products. It contains over 11,500 monographs, including historical documents. The Merck Index Online is updated regularly with expertly curated information.
- SciFinder (CAS, American Chemical Society), highly specialized chemistry database. It allows you to check Chemical Abstracts, plus Medline, patents from many countries and indexes thousands of journals. Contains information resources in the field of pharmacology and biology. - Scopus: bibliographic and citational database of peer-reviewed academic literature, publisher Elsevier. It performs the automatic calculation of the h-index and other bibliometric values
- SciVal (Elsevier), is a platform for the analysis of research results. Starting from the data of scientific production, the platform allows you to make comparisons and extract performance data both at the level of the structure and of the individual researcher.
- WOS (Web of Science): is a multidisciplinary and citation database that allows you to search thousands of scientific journals. It also allows you to calculate the h-index of the authors and contains the Journal Citation Reports with the calculation of the Impact Factor and the ranking of the journals by disciplinary sector (Clarivate)
- Ulrichsweb – Library database that provides information on the "life" of scientific journals in many academic fields (inception, termination, title changes, standard number, editorial information, etc.)
- Uptodate Wolters Kluwer publisher's resource of evidence-based clinical decision support, with content curated by a team of physicians, whose primary goal is to help healthcare professionals quickly make the best decisions for patient care. It covers 25 specialisations and includes over 36,000 images and 12,000 topics, for each of which the authors (and their reviewers), date of update and bibliography are indicated in detail. The contents are written entirely in English, but with the possibility of searching for pathologies, symptoms, procedures and drugs, also in other languages. It is recommended that you create a personal account on the platform to take advantage of all the features of the database
